MUSCATINE, Iowa — A Muscatine woman has been charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, a class C felony.

According to court documents, on Aug. 28, Danielle Benac, 26, whose last reported address is listed as 2402 Park Ave., manufactured less than five grams of methamphetamine. During a search, manufacturing materials including a reaction vessel with methamphetamine residue, were found in her home.

A class C felony carries a prison term of up to 10 years and a fine from $1,000 – $10,000.

Benac was released from the Muscatine County Jail on $10,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17.
