A woman who allegedly smuggled more than 600 grams of methamphetamine to Guam in a FedEx package was arrested by federal authorities, and her suspected accomplice may still be at large.

John Michael Pangelinan and Martha Leticia Burgos were charged with attempted possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, or ice, according to District Court of Guam documents.

Federal court records state that Burgos is in the custody of U.S. Marshals, but don’t show any record of Pangelinan being arrested. Department of Corrections spokesman Lt. Antone Aguon said Pangelinan was not in custody as of yesterday.

Court documents allege that the drugs were in a package bound for Yona that was intercepted by authorities. They followed the package, which was delivered to a woman in Yona who took it to the couple at a hotel room in the Westin Resort Guam, court documents state.

In the room, authorities found a small amount of ice, drug paraphernalia and cash, court documents state. The receipt for the FedEx package was found hidden in a light fixture, court documents state.
