Two Quincy residents were arrested late Wednesday after a raid by members of the West Central Illinois Task Force, Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Quincy Police Department and the Illinois State Police.

Bradley N. Neiders, 31, and Amber K. L. Barger, 26, both of 1238 N. 26th St., were arrested on methamphetamine-related charges after the Task Force raided their home at 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Nieders was charged with unlawful participation in the production of methamphetamine. Barger was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Both are lodged in the Adams County Jail.

Two children that were present in the residence were turned over to a family member. Agents reported the incident to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and an investigation will be initiated.

Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Patrick Frazier reported that agents seized an active shake and bake methamphetamine laboratory, methamphetamine and numerous components used in the meth production process. The Illinois State Police Meth Response Team responded to the scene to dispose of hazardous materials.
