Comments Off on Two accused of cooking meth in Tallahassee Super 8 motel


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Two men were arrested after a methamphetamine lab was found cooking in a local hotel, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.

It began with an anonymous tip on September 25, 2012. A caller said that someone was cooking meth in room 229 of the Super 8 Hotel, which is located at 2801 North Monroe Street.

Deputies responded and located the active methamphetamine lab. The sheriff’s office vice unit responded to the scene, seized the lab, and arrested 37-year-old Jack Peppers and 34-year-old Kevin Smith.

Detectives also seized the chemicals used to make meth in addition to the finished product.

Both Peppers and Smith were arrested and taken to the Leon County Jail.
