Comments Off on Three arrested, 61 one-pot meth labs seized in Gibson

Drug agents have arrested three people and seized 61 pot meth labs in serving a search warrant for methamphetamine manufacturing at a residence on South Main Street in Gibson, according to a news release from the 28th District of the West Tennessee Violent Crime and Drug Task Force.

Agents served the warrant on Thursday at a residence at 129 South Main St., according to the release.

The release said the state of Tennessee Methamphetamine and Pharmaceutical Task Force Response Truck had to be called to the scene to assist in the cleanup at the address and the residence was quarantined.

Those arrested and their charges are:

Zachary D. Stoops, 23, of Gibson, promoting to manufacture methamphetamine, initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, manufacturing a Schedule II controlled substance and conspiracy to manufacture a Schedule II controlled substance.

Douglas E. Stoops, 50, of Gibson, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and promoting to manufacture methamphetamine.

• Lesley A. Coleman, 24, of Gibson, promoting to manufacture methamphetamine, initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, manufacturing a Schedule II controlled substance and conspiracy to manufacture a Schedule II controlled substance.

All three defendants were taken to the Gibson County Jail, where they will be held until they post a bond for their appearance in Humboldt General Sessions Court.
