Cody Schlatter, of Severance, was arrested on Friday Sept. 28 for “selling a stolen trailer,” according to a Weld County Sheriff’s Office media release.

“A victim had come forward telling deputies that he had left his camper trailer at Cody’s residence to be stored,” the release said. “Deputies located the trailer in Montana and the person who bought the trailer said that Cody had sold him the trailer.”

A sheriff’s deputy received information that Schlatter was possibly selling drugs and was “armed with a stolen shotgun.”

Investigators served a search warrant on a van that Schlatter owns and recovered a small amount of methamphetamine and stolen property.

Two stolen weapons — a shotgun and a handgun — connected to the case were recovered from a residence in Ault, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information on the case to call investigators at 970 356-4015 ext. 4068.
