Comments Off on Cyclist arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine possession

A 40-year-old bicyclist stopped at 9 p.m. Tuesday for a traffic violation near California Boulevard and Laurel Street was arrested for alleged drug possession, according to Napa police.

Justin Johnson, 40, of Napa, was suspected of being in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe, police said. He allegedly was under the influence of a controlled substance, police said.

Johnson was booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of probation violation, possession and transportation of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to the jail booking.
