MORGAN COUNTY, Alabama — Drug agents found a total of eight methamphetamine labs at four different dump sites throughout Morgan County today.

Sheriff Ana Franklin said deputies responded to two calls of possible methamphetamine labs from citizens in Morgan County that led them to four separate dump sites.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service first reported finding what they believed to be a methamphetamine lab located at the entrance to Refuge Headquarters Road, Franklin said.

Drug Task Force agents later found four of the eight one-pot methamphetamine labs dumped along the wood line on Suits Road and a fifth on Suits Road off of Wilhite Road. Another lab was dumped onto the road at Old River Road and U.S. Highway 231.

Agents also recovered and cleaned up two methamphetamine labs located in a ditch and wood line on Neel School Road and Kirby Bridge, according to a sheriff’s report.
