During a search at 1034 N. Second, Task Force agents reported they found numerous items used in shake and bake methamphetamine manufacturing process.

Patricia S. Ahern, 44, of 1034 N. Second, was arrested on a Class X charge of aggravated participation in methamphetamine production. The charge was “aggravated” due to a person over 60 years of age and a person under the age of 18 being in the residence. Ahern, who was free on bond on a separate charge of aggravated methamphetamine charge, is now again lodged in the Adams County Jail.

The Department of Children and Family services was notified of the child being present during the search. A separate investigation will be initiated regarding the child, police said.

Officers with the Quincy Police Department assisted at the 1034 N. Second search.
