A hotel key card found on two detained suspects led Summerville Police to a suspected methamphetamine lab at Holiday Inn Express early Monday morning.

Summerville Police detained the two suspects at Walgreens on North Main Street after they had attempted to purchase items with allegedly fake identification.

Officers went to the hotel and located several chemicals indicative to manufacturing methamphetamine, according to police. This is an active, ongoing investigation.

Officials say no one was injured and they stopped the manufacturing process before it could even begin, Count on 2 News reported.
