Holbrook, AZ– On October 30, 2012, detectives of the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office Major Crime Apprehension Team, “MCAT”, a Southwest Border High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) funded task force, assisted the Show Low Police Department with processing a large shipment of methamphetamine located in the Show Low area.

Traffic Violation leads to two arrests and 20 ounces of Crystal Methamphetamine

Officers form the Show Low Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a 1996 Mitsubishi for a traffic violation. While investigating, officers found 20 ounces of crystal methamphetamine in the vehicle. The methamphetamine has a value of $56,000. Albert Munoz, 46 of Phoenix and Maricela Carrizosa, 32 of Phoenix were arrested for Transportation of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale and Possession of Dangerous Drugs.

Munoz and Carrizosa were booked into the Navajo County Jail. They were seen by the Show Low Justice Court and each are being held on a $25,000.00 cash bond.
