SARALAND, Alabama — Saraland police have arrested a woman they say had an inactive meth lab in her home.

31 year old Lesli J. Blackwell was taken into custody after the Saraland Police Department Narcotics Unit obtained a search warrant and found it in her home.

Blackwell was arrested and charged with Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Investigators are also looking for 30 year old Joel J. Johnson. He lives at the same residence and is wanted for questioning concerning the meth lab found.

SARALAND, Alabama — Police are looking for a 30-year-old man after the discovery of an inactive methamphetamine lab in a Saraland, Ala., home led to one arrest on Nov. 8.

Joel Johnson is wanted for questioning after the lab was found in his home, according to the Saraland Police Department.

Lesli Blackwell, 31, who also lives in the home, was arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, trafficking meth, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said the arrest was the result of a search warrant executed at 818 Leon Street on Nov. 8. Investigators found “the components of an inactive meth lab,” in the home, according to Cpl. Arlan Gaines, public information officer for SPD.

Booking records show Blackwell has not been arrested in Mobile County before.

Johnson has a criminal history dating back to 2001 in the county. The charges include manufacturing and trafficking meth. He has previously lived in Eight Mile, Ala., Chunchula, Ala., and Mobile, Ala.
