Comments Off on Pen Argyl man faces methamphetamine charges after borough store raided

A Pen Argyl man was charged Monday with three counts of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine after a raid on a borough store, police said this morning in a news release.

Jason M. Moyer, 41, of the 500 block of Pen Argyl Street, was arrested after police and Northampton County Drug Task Force officers served a search warrant and an arrest warrant about 2 p.m. at JJM Collectibles, in the first block of North Robinson Avenue, police said.

Moyer, who police said was the store’s proprietor, also faces one count of conspiracy/delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of possession of a controlled substance after an investigation the task force began in October, police said.

Moyer was arraigned at Northampton County central booking before District Judge Richard Yetter III and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $60,000 bail, police said.

Bushkill Township police and their K-9 unit, Bangor police and their K-9 unit and Plainfield Township police assisted, police said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Nov. 28.
