Comments Off on Man arrested after being found with methamphetamine lab in Newton motel

A Newton man is being held in the Jasper County Jail after being arrested at a motel with a methamphetamine lab and other drug paraphernalia on Wednesday morning.

The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement East Task Force and the Newton Police Department arrested Timothy David Jacobs, 25, at the Mid-Iowa Motel in Newton at 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a press release.

Jacobs faces charges of manufacting methapmhetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jacobs had an outstanding arrest warrant from the Urbandale Police Department. He is being held on a $25,000 bond.

More charges against Jacobs are pending, according to the release.
