Comments Off on Traffic Stop Leads Troopers to Methamphetamine Bust

A routine traffic stop on US 20 near Rexburg leads Idaho State Police to a significant methamphetamine bust.

Troopers initiated the stop around 10 a.m., Monday morning, on a 1996 Ford truck which was headed east on US 20.

During the stop, ISP obtained probable cause to search the truck which lead to the discovery of around 660 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Troopers also found nearly $4,000 in cash.

The following people were arrested at the scene for trafficking a controlled substance:

Wes E. Williams, 55, Ririe, ID
Brandy Rachell Felts, 40, Wallace, CA
Robert A. Johnson, 33, Watford, ND

All were booked into the Madison County Jail.

The Idaho State Police patrol and investigations were assisted by Madison County Sheriff’s Office and Rexburg City Police Department’s K9 unit.
