A Beatrice woman on probation for two drug-related offenses was arrested Thursday for possession of methamphetamine. after she tested positive for the drug in a routine drug test.

According to Gage County Court documents, Beatrice Police contacted Chandra L. Philippi, 36, at an apartment in the 800 block of Elk Street after Philippi had tested positive for methamphetamine during a drug test.

Philippi told police she had relapsed, court documents state, and had been using methamphetamine.

During a search of the apartment, police found a red bag in the laundry room of the apartment that contained two zippered cases holding drug paraphernalia, including a burnt spoon, syringes, tissue paper and a cotton-like substance.

Police also found a whitish-clear substance suspected to be methamphetamine in a small ziplock baggie. The substance was later confirmed to be the drug.

Philippi was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Friday, her bond was set at $25,000 in Gage County Court.

Philippi is currently on probation for two previous drug convictions in Gage County District Court.
