LAGRANGE – 4 people are behind bars after a meth bust in LaGrange County.

County police were called to a home in the 3600 block of S. 600 East in LaGrange on Sunday and found several items used to make methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with consuming the illegal drug.

Officers found a number of chemicals used to make meth in the home and garage. They also uncovered a large amount of what they believe is meth.

The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was called to handle the dangerous chemicals at the scene.

4 people were taken to the LaGrange County Jail.

Kerri Benson was booked for possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance, both felonies.

Candice Benson is charged with maintaining a common nuisance, while Stephanie Gibson and Laef Lewis were both taken into custody for visiting a common nuisance.

Additional possible charges are pending after a review by the LaGrange County prosecutor’s office.

Indiana conservation officers also helped with the investigation.
