Comments Off on Local woman with ‘Broken Arrow’ ties faces new charges for possession of Meth

A Spirit Lake woman with a connection to the 2010 Broken Arrow drug investigation faces a new set of charges, according to the Spirit Lake Police Department.

Officers say 27-year-old Annette Loerch faces three counts of possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine, and intent to deliver. She was booked into the Dickinson County Jail Friday, March 15. The initial cause for arrest stemmed from a violation of parole.

Loerch was one of the suspects in an April 2010 investigation code-named Broken Arrow, a year-and-a-half long undercover drug investigation resulting in more than 50 felony charges against 25 individuals in the Lakes area.

Loerch remained at large for a number of months after the initial charges were announced. She was later found and arrested in September 2010 in Ohio. Loerch was convicted on multiple charges of drug possession, gathering for use of drugs, and violation of probation on Nov. 15, 2010.

Cash, guns, one vehicle and various narcotics including cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy and marijuana were seized by the Spirit Lake Police Department as part of the initial Broken Arrow investigation.

The most recent arrest for Loerch stems from a nearly month-long investigation from August through September 2012 by the Spirit Lake Police Department. Loerch was found to be in possession of 2.5 grams during the investigation. She is being held in the Dickinson County jail on $30,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been set for 4 p.m. Monday, April 1 in the Dickinson County Courthouse.
