Comments Off on Meth seized at car-audio installation shop in Yucaipa

The owner of a Yucaipa car-audio installation business and five others were arrested on drug and other charges March 28 after authorities said they found methamphetamine in the shop and at a house.

In all, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies seized a half-pound of methamphetamine worth $6,000, a news release said.

Just after 1:20 a.m., deputies checking on Break N Beariors at 34919 Yucaipa Blvd. found owner Christopher Hernandez, 39, and Cory Anweiler inside. Anweiler, 41, was on parole for felony carjacking, a news release said.

The deputies found 4 ounces of marijuana and unspecified items related to drug sales and distribution, the release said. Deputies then got a search warrant for the business and a residence they said was related to Hernandez.

At the house, in the 12000 Block of Bryant Street, deputies found meth as well as code violations that led to citations that closed off most of the property as uninhabitable. Yucaipa residents Michael Gardner, 34, Aaron Moron, 20, Joseph Ronquillo, 37, and Denise Piiwaa, 51, who were at the house, were arrested.

Investigators then returned to the business and seized meth and illegal prescription narcotics, the release said.

Detectives in Yucaipa have made nine felony arrests related to illegal narcotics in the past month, the release said.
