CANTON ā€” Police say an Akron woman brought an unusual gift when she visited a friend at the Stark County Jail.

Shade L. Stanley, 19, of 752 Blane Ave. was arrested Saturday for allegedly bringing powder crystal methamphetamine into the Stark County Jail.

According to the police report, Stanley admitted that she and inmate Apria Johnson used the drugs, then flushed whatever remained down the toilet.

Stanley faces a first-degree felony charge of corrupting another with drugs, along with the illegal conveyance of weapons, drugs or other prohibited items onto grounds of detention facility or institution, tampering with evidence, and possession of drugs.

Johnson, 25, is serving a 16-day sentence for domestic violence.
