Comments Off on Search for wanted man in Colleton County finds meth lab too

ROUND O, S.C. (WCIV) — The Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team got a tip that a man wanted by two other agencies was hiding out at a home in Colleton County but what they found was much more than that.

Just before 1 p.m. Thursday, SRT members saw 28-year-old Samuel Lane Campbell arriving at a Cannon Road home. They also report they found cocaine, methamphetamine, and hypodermic needles in Campbell’s vehicle.

His passenger, 29-year-old Megan De Los Santos, was also detained.

The sheriff’s office got a search warrant and deputies said they found a well organized “one-pot” lab, complete with all the necessary ingredients and chemicals for meth production, as well as a multitude of hypodermic needles, digital scales, a large amount of meth waste, and an undetermined amount of methamphetamine.

DEA was notified and agents helped with the dismantling of the lab.

Both Campbell and De Los Santos were arrested for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Disposal of Meth Waste, and Possession of Cocaine.
