Comments Off on Cottonport Man Arrested with Metamphetamine

According to Sheriff Doug Anderson, deputies have arrested Terry Turner, age 48 at his residence of 717 Azalea Ln., Cottonport, La. after he was found to be in possession of more than 28 grams of “Pink” suspected crystal meth. Investigators, with the assistance of the State office of Probation and Parole, also seized a quantity of hydrocodone and amphetamine based pills in addition to powdered and crack cocaine. The Sheriff stated that the Methamphetamine and Cocaine was individually packaged in a manner consistent with the street sales of illegal drugs.

Turner was on active Parole at the time of his arrest for an earlier conviction of Attempted First Degree Murder. He was booked into the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff Offices DC #1 charged with 3 counts of Possession of CDS Schedule II with Intent to Distribute and 1 count of Possession of CDS Schedule III. Turner is being held on Parole charges. No bond has been set.
