A K-9 search of the van revealed glassware and chemicals used to make meth. The area was closed for six hours while the sheriff’s office Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Team (CLET) removed the chemicals, which if mixed together, can produce dangerous gasses.

At about 10 p.m. Tuesday, detectives with the Westside Interagency Narcotics Team (WINT) raided a residence at 23 N. Baldwin St. in Portland based on evidence obtained from the van. According to the sheriff’s office, WINT found a second meth lab, and also arrested 54-year-old Dan Miller, a resident of the home.

Miller faces charges of unlawful possession and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, and attempt to commit manufacturing of a controlled substance. More charges are possible.

He is being held in the Washington County Jail on $30,000 bail.
