Close to 5 ounces of methamphetamine are off the streets of Scottsbluff after the WING Drug Task Force arrests a major player in the drug ring.
Last night, police arrested 33-year old Daniel Junior Bravo and 27-year old Leticia Desman on charges of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
An informant with WINg met with Bravo at Shari’s Restaurant to conduct the deal. During the encounter, Desman gave Bravo a fanny pack containing 4.9 ounces of meth.
The informant arranged to meet Bravo at the Comfort Inn in Scottsbluff to pay him approximately $4,000. The meeting was controlled by WING Investigators, and once the informant handed Bravo the money, he was taken into custody without incident.
WING Commander Dana Korell says Bravo is believed to be responsible for bringing many pounds of meth into the area over the years, and traditionally had women act as drug mules so he didn’t handle the drugs.
“Based on what ATF is telling us and what California is telling us, the man involved is a pretty substantial player in the methamphetamine business,” Korrell said.
