Deputies found small amounts of methamphetamine, meth making materials and guns when they executed a search warrant at a home in Bristol, Va. on Friday, police said.

Gordon Stophel, 44, and Summer Johnson, 35, were charged with two counts each of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of meth precursors and possession of a firearm while possessing meth.

 

Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman said his officers discovered a small amount of meth and several firearms when they explored a residence in the 16,000 block of Fleenors Memorial Road.

Summer Johnson, 35, and Gordon Stophel, 44, who were in the residence, were taken into custody and charged with two counts each of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of meth precursors and possession of a firearm while possessing meth.

Officers with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Virginia State Police, Abingdon Police Department and the Bristol Virginia Police Department assisted Washington County in the operation.
