A three month long criminal investigation by the Meth Enforcement Team from the Indiana State Police Peru Post resulted in the arrests of four Rochester residents on 12 felony and two misdemeanor charges.

Thursday night, at approximately 8:20 p.m., officers from the Indiana State Police Peru Post Meth Enforcement Team, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, and the Rochester Police Department executed a search warrant at 311 Fulton Avenue, Rochester, IN. During their search, officers allegedly found an active methamphetamine lab, items commonly associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The homeowners, Blanford Tolbert, 37 and Summer Tolbert, 32, were incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail to face three felony charges each for maintaining a common nuisance, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, and neglect of a dependant. Their bond is set at $75,000.

Also arrested at the residence were Emily Thompson, 22, and Calvin Bridges, 32, both from Rochester, IN. Thompson was incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail on two felony charges for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and reckless possession of drug paraphernalia. She also faces two misdemeanor charges for possession of marijuana under 30 grams and visiting a common nuisance. Bridges was incarcerated on four felony charges for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of pre-cursors, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a common nuisance. He also had an active felony warrant for failure to appear in court for driving after having been deemed a habitual traffic violator. He is being held without bond. Thompson has a bond of $75,000.

When officers executed the warrant they found four of the Tolbert’s minor children at the residence. All four were placed into the care of the Fulton County Division of the Indiana Department of Child Services. The Tolbert’s have two additional children who were visiting friends at the time the warrant was served. They have also been placed into the care of the Fulton County Division of the Indiana Department of Child Services. The six children ranged in age from five years to 17 years.

The Tolbert’s home is located approximately 870 feet from Riddle Elementary School.
