Comments Off on Deputies seize Methamphetamine, drugs, guns and cash in western Moore County home

Two men were arrested today, and deputies seized drugs, guns and cash during a search of a home in western Moore County.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Selective Enforcement Unit searched the home on the 200 block of Sheffield Road in Seagrove on Thursday, according to a release.

They found 128 grams of methamphetamine, three firearms, prescription medication, marijuana, $180 and drug paraphernalia.

The estimated street value of the drugs was $12,800, according to the release.

Donald Ray Sheffield, 46, was arrested during the search, which was at his home.

He was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell deliver methamphetamine, possession of firearms by a felon, maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, misdemeanor possession schedule III controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bail was set at $300,000.

Bryan Andrew Britt, 21, of the 100 block of Edwards Road in Star was also arrested.

Britt is charged with possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $5,000.
