Interlachen, FL: On Thursday, April 25, 2013, deputies with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office responded to an undisclosed location in the Interlachen area in reference to illegal drug activity.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, Matthew Willis was making and/or manufacturing Methamphetamine. Deputies located the remnants of over 80 batches of Methamphetamine, which had been produced on site.
Willis, who is a registered criminal, was taken into custody without incident and charged with (5) counts of Possession of Drugs and (1) count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Willis was transported to the Putnam County Jail and has been given a bond in the amount of $6,020.00.
The hazardous remnants were collected and disposed of.
Sheriff Jeff Hardy stated “We had received several complaints about illegal drug activity within a specific geographic location. We took the complaints seriously, and ultimately we were able to apprehend the suspect”.
