Comments Off on Home parole visit results in Methamphetamine arrest in Holton; William Wood Baker, 36, and Destiny Hope Reeder, 21, charged

On July 29, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Indiana State Police Trooper Brent Miller accompanied State Parole on a home visit to 753 N CR 700 W in Holton. After arriving at the residence the officers became suspicious of criminal activity and a search warrant was applied for and issued.

When officers executed the search warrant they located precursors and numerous items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine. They also located methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia.

Arrested were 36-year-old William Wood Baker and 21-year-old Destiny Hope Reeder, both of Holton, preliminarily charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine (Class B Felony), Possession of Precursors (Class D Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine (Class D Felony), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Class D Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Class A Misdemeanor), and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor).

Reeder also had an active warrant for her arrest for Criminal Conversion out of Jennings County. Both were transported to Ripley County Jail without incident.

Assisting with the investigation was Ripley County Sheriff’s deputies, Holton Police Department and Ripley County Prosecutors Office.

Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
