Comments Off on Methamphetamine Lab Found In Alabama Home That Also Housed Two Children

Authorities in Morgan County, Alabama have arrested five individuals in connection with a meth lab discovered inside a home that also housed two children.

Local television station WHNT reports that at approximately 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, authorities received a call requesting a juvenile welfare check at a residence.

When investigators arrived on the scene, they smelled what they thought was methamphetamine being produced.

Authorities got inside the home and found a meth lab, along with five adults and two children. One of the children was three years old and the other was just four months old.

“I cannot express how we appreciate those people that are concerned about these little ones that are living here calling us,” said Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin. “This could have been a very, very, very serious situation had someone not called and asked us to check on the safety and welfare of these babies.”

The five adults were all arrested on various drug charges and the two children were taken into protective custody.
