The seizure occurred on August 25, at about 12:30 p.m., when a CBP officer noticed discrepancies with the gas tank of a 1995 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The officer referred the driver, a 53-year-old male Mexican citizen, and the pickup for a more in-depth investigation.

Officers ran the truck through the port’s imaging system, revealing anomalies with the gas tank area.  The gas tank was removed and officers found 31 packages of methamphetamine, four packages of cocaine, two packages of brown heroin, and one package of white heroin.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Metropolitan Correctional Center.  CBP seized both the vehicle and narcotics.
