ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) — Three people are facing charges after a meth lab bust in an RV.

Officers with the Athens County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team got a tip about meth being made at a home on Zion Road in Shade, Ohio.

They got a search warrant that included searching the residence, outbuildings and an RV that stayed at the property.

Deputies say when they got on scene, the RV was not there.

While they were searching the property, deputies say the RV in question was driven by the house. The driver tried to turn the RV around, but it got stuck.

When deputies searched the RV, they say they found 14 reaction vessels and an acid gas generator bottle.

They say Shane Casteel, 36, of Pomeroy, threw two backpacks out of the RV as deputies were getting ready to search it. They say they found meth related items in the backpacks.

Sheriff Pat Kelly says Leslie Wayne Storms, 53, of Albany, lives in the RV. He and Tina Storms, 51, were both arrested and charged with manufacturing meth.

Deputies say Leslie Storms was the main meth cook and he was assisted by Tina Storms and Casteel.

Casteel was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence.

Deputies seized the RV and $14,700 in cash in the bust.

Additional charges could be filed.
