At about 4 a.m. Friday, an officer stopped a white minivan in the 100 block of Martin Drive near American Canyon because it had no functioning brake lamp, according to the American Canyon Police Department.

The driver, John Isamu Silvestri, 48, and a passenger, Trina Kathleen Baker, 43, both of Vallejo, stopped in front of their residence on Martin Drive, police said. Both were on probation, according to the department.

The officers found six rounds of ammunition in the back of the vehicle, police said. Baker allegedly had suspected heroin in a pocket, according to police.

At their residence, police allegedly found 0.5 gram of suspected methamphetamine and a drug pipe in Silvestri’s bedroom, police said. Both were transported to the Napa County jail. At the jail, a corrections officer located two baggies of suspected methamphetamine concealed inside Baker’s body, police added.

Silvestri was booked on suspicion of probation violation and being a felon in possession of ammunition, and Baker was booked on suspicion of bringing drugs into a jail and drug possession, according to the jail logs.
