Jackson County sheriff: Child was in car along with Methamphetamine; Justin Gamble, 22, and Patricia Gamble, 29, of Bridgeport, arrested

STEVENSON, Alabama – A child was placed in custody of the Jackson County Department of Human Resources after two adults were arrested Sunday for having 1.5 grams of methamphetamine in their car, Sheriff Chuck Phillips said.

The adults with the child, whose age and gender were not disclosed, were arrested and taken to Jackson County Jail.

Justin Gamble, 22, of Bridgeport, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (meth), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and probation revocation.

Patricia Gamble, 29, of Bridgeport was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (meth), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

The couple was stopped on County road 287 in Stevenson early Sunday morning after Jackson County deputies and Stevenson Police received tips of drug activity. Deputies found drug paraphernalia and about 1.5 grams of meth inside the car, Phillips said.
