Greenville, VA — Five people have been arrested by Virginia State Police in the Greenville area in connection with the production of methamphetamine.

Around six Saturday evening, police served several search warrants at a motel near exit 213 on I-81 as well as a location near the BB&T Bank in Greenville.

They took evidence that included materials used to make meth. This is an ongoing investigation, but police say there is no threat to the community in this area at this point.
