SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – A man was sentenced in Spokane to 14 years in prison for strangling his girlfriend and trying to dispose of her body in a tub of acid at their Nine Mile Falls home.Jason Hart

Twenty-eight-year-old Jason M. Hart’s pleaded guilty in September to second-degree murder for killing Regan Jolley.

The Spokesman-Review reports her body was discovered in June 2013 by a man who shared a home with the couple.

Court documents say Hart was discharged from the Army with a permanent disability because of PTSD and used methamphetamine to cope with his mental illness.
