Comments Off on Eighteen-year-old Eau Claire man, high on Methamphetamine, injures leg jumping onto moving tow truck

EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, Wis. (WKBT) – An 18-year-old man is injured after trying to jump onto the side of a moving tow truck while high on methamphetamine.

According to a report from the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened just after 8 p.m. on Monday night.

The man tried to climb onto the truck as it passed through an intersection on Clairemont Avenue at the State Highway 53 interchange. The man fell underneath the truck, suffering non-life threatening injuries to his leg. He was taken to an area hospital.

The Sheriff’s Office says the man will be cited for trying to jump onto the truck, and will also be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His name is not being released at this time.

Police and fire departments from Altoona and Eau Claire joined the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
