Comments Off on Hallucinating Woman, Lashanda Marie Schofield, 29, Who Reportedly Said She Consumed Methamphetamine, Arrested At Greeneville Subway

Lashanda Marie Schofield, 29, of 590 Pates Hill Road, was charged Wednesday afternoon with drug-related offenses and public intoxication after Greeneville police responded to a call about a woman “shaking the doors” of the Subway restaurant, at 2345 E. Andrew Johnson Highway.

Schofield was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell, possessing a controlled substance in a penal institution and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Subway had been closed for about an hour when Schofield showed up at the doorway.

“Employees told her she needed to leave because she was going to set off the alarm,” Officer Eric Davis said in a report.

Police found her standing outside the Subway “looking in at the restaurant,” the report said.

“After speaking with Schofield she was found to be hallucinating and she told officers she used meth earlier in the day,” the report said.

Schofield was arrested for public intoxication and taken to the Greene County Detention Center. Schofield was asked if she had any drugs on her, and she responded that she did not.

“(Schofield) said if she had any, she didn’t know about them,” the report said.

A search by corrections officers turned up 14 bags containing a total of one gram of methamphetamine. A syringe and a cut straw was also found, the report said.

Bond for Schofield was set at $61,300 pending a first scheduled General Sessions Court appearance on Friday.
