Comments Off on Naked suspect, Carol Ann Turner, 42, friend, Christopher Lee Davis, 29, charged with Methamphetamine possession at Baymont Inn in Cumberland County

Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies, armed with a bench warrant, found more than the suspect they were seeking when they knocked on a motel room door and entered. They found the suspect they sought naked, standing beside a bed with a substantial quantity of meth. Two persons were charged.

Carol Ann Turner, 42, 1734 Pomona Rd., was taken into custody on the bench warrant from Whitfield County, GA, and now faces new charges of manufacture, delivery or sell of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Christopher Lee Davis, 29, 419 Stone Loop, is charged with manufacture, delivery or sell of methamphetamine.

The incident took place Feb. 4 at the Baymont Inn off Huddle Rd. and N. Main St. around 4 a.m., according to Sgt. Rick Lanzilotta’s report. Lanzilotta and Cpl. Sean Mullikin had received information that Turner was staying at the motel and knocked on the door.

No one answered and after waiting for “a reasonable amount of time,” the officers entered the room and found Turner standing naked beside a bed that Davis was in. She was instructed immediately to put on some clothes, but officers noticed her trying to hide something by the bed. Concerned a weapon might be involved, the officers approached and saw on the floor in plain view several plastic bags inside a larger bag.

Methamphetamine was packaged in several small bags in form of resale,” Lanzilotta wrote in his report. Also seized were four smoking pipes with meth residue, with one of the pipes melted into the carpet of the hotel room.

Also recovered were several documents that appeared to be ledgers on who owed money for drugs, six food stamp cards from several different people and notations on the balance on the cards, PIN numbers to access debit/credit cards and a small amount of cash.

The meth seized weighed 4.3 grams, according to the report.

Turner was placed under $250,000 bond on the warrant from Georgia and $11,000 bond on the local charges. Davis was placed under $10,000 bond.

Turner appeared in General Sessions Court the next day and her cases were continued to March 5. Davis is to appear in General Sessions Court on March 2.
