Berea Police arrested a man and woman on drug charges Thursday at the Red Roof Inn off Walnut Meadow Road west of Interstate 75 Exit 77. 554d8a3b77eb1_image

About 20 used needles, 12 plastic bags with methamphetamine residue, a shotgun, a pistol, eight sets of scales, drug paraphernalia and $1,305 in cash were found in their room, the police report stated.

After receiving a call about possible drug activity in one of the rooms, police spoke with the woman who rented the room as well as others. After hours of investigation they learned a man in the room had sold methamphetamine to another person, the report added.554d8a3ac3993_image

Police also said they located about 800 unused small plastic bags and a Suboxone strip.

Natasha Graves, 25, of Berea, and Michael Hafley, 37, of Richmond were arrested and taken to the Madison County Detention Center, where they remained Friday, according to online jail records.

Hafley was charged with first-degree controlled substance trafficking (methamphetamine) convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Graves was charged with first-degree controlled substance 554d8a933637b_imagepossession (methamphetamine), second-degree controlled substance possession (drug unspecified) and drug paraphernalia possession.
