PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — An alleged single-car crash led Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies to a meth bust Sunday morning in Interlachen.635669338361596562-20150511-Walling-Beecher

On Main Street in Interlachen, 46-year-old Walling Dewayne Beecher seemingly crashed his pickup truck against a metal pole. Deputies reportedly arrived at 9 a.m. and discovered Beecher and his truck parked next to a knocked-over metal pole.

Only, it turns out, there was no traffic crash. As deputies investigated, they discovered instead items used in the creation of methamphetamine in Beecher’s truck.

They also found a baggie full of meth in Beecher’s pocket.

He told the police that he was just taking the drugs to a friend. After which he was arrested without incident and taken to Putnam County Jail.

He is charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver to another person. Beecher’s bond is set at $2,504.
