Comments Off on Man and his mother injured after Methamphetamine lab explodes in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, SC (WBTV) – A Chesterfield County man and his mother are being treated for injuries after investigators say a meth lab exploded early Thursday morning.

Sheriff Jay Brooks said the explosion happened just after 2 a.m. on Tory Road, just outside of Pageland.

Investigators believe the man was cooking meth in his kitchen when the explosion occurred.

The man’s name has not been released. Brooks said he suffered third-degree burns.

According to Brooks, the man’s mother was also treated on the scene and may have to be hospitalized as well.

Pageland and High Point Fire Department’s responded to the scene along with deputies and narcotics agents from Chesterfield County.
