Jessica Schipler, 28, was arrested Sunday evening at a home in the 10000 block of Lankford Lane, near Mt. Holly Road.

According to official police records, Schipler cooked meth inside a garage where she was living with her three children.

Authorities responded after receiving a call that an active meth lab was suspected to be in the garage.

When officers arrived at the scene, they met with the homeowner, who said Schipler – who is his son’s girlfriend – and their three children were living in the garage.

Officials say the homeowner said he could smell chemicals coming from the garage. Officials also state the homeowner confronted Schipler and she then left the residence with her three children and two other people.

Police say the homeowner consented to a search of the garage and authorities uncovered several items that are used to make meth. During the search, police also say they found a box with Schipler’s name on it that contained a substance suspected to be meth.

Schipler was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of controlled substance endangerment to a child.

She is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
