GRUNDY, Va. — Five arrests were made when an anonymous tip led investigators to a methamphetamine lab in the Slate Creek area of Buchanan County.

The 29th Judicial Narcotics Drug Task Force discovered four one-pot meth cookers along with ingredients to manufacture meth, according to a press release from the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office. The Virginia State Police Clandestine Lab Clean-Up Team was dispatched to the location.

Five individuals were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of two or more precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

The people arrested by investigators included: Craig Allen Cole, 24, of Grundy, Va.; Kaylea Danielle Campbell, 24, of Oakwood, Va.; Dezaraye Vaughn Hawkinberry Tote, 23, of Mavisdale, Va.; Robert Anthony Mullins, 32, of Pilgrims Knob, Va.; and Zachary Brett Stacy, 20, of Rowe, Va.

Each person arrested on June 18 was transported to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Haysi, Va. The investigation was continuing and more arrests are pending, according to Sheriff Ray Foster.
