8265007_GVERNON PARISH, LA (KPLC) – Two Vernon Parish residents were arrested after methamphetamine and marijuana were found in a Leesville home Monday, authorities said.

Brittany Dowden, 26, of Leesville, was arrested on two counts of narcotics possession and ne count of drug paraphernalia possession, according to Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft.

The Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force went to investigate a complaint of possible drug activity at a Nolan Trace residence. There, they found Dowden, who was in possession of methamphetamines, marijuana and smoking devices.

She is being held in the parish jail on $11,715 bond.8265013_G

Agents also arrested Michael Hadnot after he was found with bags of methamphetamine and marijuana, Craft said. A warrants officer was arresting Hadnot on an outstanding bench warrant when he found the baggies and contacted narcotics agents.

Hadnot was arrested and charged with one count of methamphetamine possession, one count of marijuana possession and a bench warrant. His is being held on $11,357.50 bond.
