A 25-year-old Helena woman is accused of having methamphetamine and various paraphernalia in her home.

Brittni Nichole O’Leary faces a felony charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs (methamphetamine) and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

During a search warrant conducted Thursday of a home on Coyote Lane, authorities reported finding meth on a both a spoon and in a bag. Court documents say officers also found syringes, a burnt spoon with white residue, an electronic scale and a cut straw for snorting. Several of the syringes found in her bedroom had her initial marked on their ends, the documents note.

Two days prior to the search, two children, 3 and 5, were removed from the home by officials after a family member found what were believed to be drugs in the residence. At the time, O’Leary declined to let sheriff’s deputies search the home. Authorities are awaiting results of hair follicle testing of both children for exposure to meth, court documents state.
