doctor with a practice in Delray Beach was allegedly found by police Friday in possession of a loaded gun, a knife and methamphetamine while picking up his child at St. Andrew’s School in Boca Raton.

City police went to the school to arrest Steven Glanz for alleged aggravated stalking of his former fiancee when they found the weapons and drugs, according to an arrest report.

Glanz, a Broward County resident, is facing charges of possession of a weapon on school property, aggravated stalking and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. He was released from the Palm Beach County Jail Saturday after posting a $50,000 bond.

Police were notified Thursday by the alleged victim that she was being harassed by Glanz through bizarre and sometimes threatening emails and text messages. The woman told police that Glanz, whom she has a child with, has been bothering her for years, but that his text messages had recently become threatening.

“I have my house loaded with assault rifles scarface style,” said one alleged text from Glanz to the woman.

“I have enough ammo to take out a third world orchestra,” said another.

“I will decide your date in another couple of months,” said a third text, with the word “date” changed to “fate” in a follow-up text.

On Friday, the woman contacted police again and said that Glanz, 56, had sent her more threatening texts since she spoke to officers the previous day.

Police were initially unable to contact Glanz, but were told that he would be picking up his child at St. Andrew’s School, on Jog Road southof Yamato Road, on Friday afternoon.

School staff members escorted Glanz to a building out of sight of students and he was arrested by Boca Raton police, the report said. Officers allegedly found a loaded .22-caliber handgun in Glanz’s right-front pocket and a folding knife in his left-front pocket.

After Glanz was taken to the Boca Raton Police Department for booking, a glass vial containing 7.2 grams of methamphetamine was uncovered in his pants pocket.

“I’ve never seen that before,” Glanz told officers after they found the drugs.

Attempts to reach Glanz Tuesday were unsuccessful. There is no mention of an attorney representing Glanz is listed on court documents.

Glanz is employed by Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery at 1300 NW 17th Ave., according to the company’s website.
