RIPLEY, Mich. (WLUC) – Two people found unresponsive are in the hospital Tuesday night after detectives uncovered a meth lab in a Houghton County home.

Just after 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to a medical call of two unresponsive subjects in a home on Royce Road in Ripley.

Deputies saw a one-pot meth lab and meth making components in the residence.

A search warrant was obtained and Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team detectives seized the meth lab.

Both subjects were taken to UP Health System – Portage.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s office was assisted by Michigan State Police Troopers.
