A Minden woman was arrested Thursday on charges of domestic battery and methamphetamine trafficking.
Deputies visited a Minden home on Feb. 16 for a welfare check. At the home a woman claimed she was struck in the face when Janis L. Payton, 54, threw a broom at her.
On Feb. 23 deputies performed a welfare check at the same house. On that day, an elderly man claimed his daughter, Payton, had struck him in the back and neck.
Deputies also found a scale, baggies and methamphetamine in Payton’s possession.
Her bail is set at $20,000.
