SANTA CRUZ >> Davenport resident Janina Miller-Morales, 27, was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of possessing more than 24 grams of methamphetamine.

Miller-Morales was driving near Canfield Avenue and San Lorenzo Boulevard without a license plate when Santa Cruz police pulled her over on the 600 block of Riverside Avenue, department spokeswoman Joyce Blaschke said in a release.

Both Miller-Morales and her passenger Zenaido Gomez, 28, from Santa Cruz, were each facing outstanding court warrants, Blaschke said.

“As Ms. Miller was exiting the car, she dropped a methamphetamine pipe on the driver side floorboard,” Blaschke said. “The subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in 10 bindles totaling 24 grams of methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia.”

In addition to receiving citations for their warrants, Miller-Morales was arrested on suspicion of transporting, sales and possession of narcotic controlled substances.
